Posted November 04, 2018 07:09:38The Harley-Davidsons Superbike and Superbike will become the first bikes to use aero trainers to help train riders for track days.
The technology, which was introduced at the 2015 Tokyo Motor Show, will work on both bikes, the company announced Thursday.
The Harley-Davees trainer will be installed on both motorcycles, while the Superbike trainer will come with a custom motorcycle-specific seat that will be connected to the bike.
“The new technology will allow the rider to use the rider’s feet to provide feedback during the lap or the race,” Harley-Jones said in a statement.
“It will also provide a greater level of stability on the bike, and will allow for faster acceleration.
The trainer will help train the rider during the race and will also assist with the rider adjusting their bike’s ride height during the track day.”
The technology is being used for the first time in a superbike, but will also be used on other bikes.
The company said it plans to offer the technology to other superbikes and supercars in the future.
The Superbike is the first supercar to be powered by the Super-GTX engine, which debuted in the 2010 Superbike race in Japan.
The Superbike’s first race in America was the 2015 North American Superbike Grand Prix, which featured a Superbike with aero training.
